So i just announced my retirement from the NBRA here's some things to help you understand.
First of all, let my explain why:
1. I'm sick of everyone complaining when i win. If you're not the best then you don't win. I've gotten really upset about just letting them win. And i expressed my anger in my post-race interview after the Bop Bank 360. That is just one reason though.
2. Time. I just can't find enough time for racing anymore, i have a lot of other stuff to do then wait around for a 10 minute race for 2 hours.
3. Money. Being the president i have to by everything and, well i want to spend my money on other things.
4. I'm not really in good physical condition. I've been having to stop often in races for cramps. Also crashes keep banging me up and I'm starting to become like an old man LOL
It's been 5 amazing years, but everything on this earth will eventually end. Thank you fans for being there through it all, it has been so great! I'm so sad and sorry.

शे'स Back
Well hello, here I am again. I'm so sorry that i haven't been able to post weekly. So i probably should change the name of my blog. But anyways toady's post is about how Savannah is returning to her winning ways, and is going for a record tie-ing three consecutive wins in the Bop Bank 360 tomorrow night.
I believe that with all the media attention surrounding Beau Brazfield's debut in the Green Grass 400, that many people forgot to make any big deal or even talk about that me and Savannah traded balls following the Red X Records 400. The result was amazing in the Green Grass 400. Savannah went back to her winning ways, and dominated the second half of the race and won in a photo finish over me for the second consecutive week. If you have seen my interview or read me tweets following the race it was clear that i was disappointed. It wasn't because i lost, but it's because i lost that bad. Normally I'm the one that goes out there and dominates and leads like every lap, so it just felt really weird having the roles changed. And it was all because that little ball change.
I think I'm beginning to realize that all of us our great racers and can win anytime, but the reason i was winning was because of my ball. You see like right after the 2009 Cup season the older generation balls were not being made anymore. This generation of balls we had been racing on for years and years so it was very hard for everyone to adjust to these newer balls which in my opinion are terrible. The reason i was dominating was because i was on a older generation ball which i had been used to. But now Savannah is on that ball and of course if your on the best ball, you probably will do pretty well. Which Savannah has been doing the past few weeks. But the main point is, is that Savannah is going back to were she was like in 2005 when all the races were one lap and she would totally crush us all.
Savannah has won the last two cup race plus last week's Bop World race. Will she extend her Cup winning streak to a record tie-ing three in a row tomorrow? Be sure to tune in at 8 pm only on Bop Channel 17.

As One Carrer ends, Another will begin.
Well sorry i haven't posted in a while (slacker lol). But today's post will include sad breaking news.
I just finished talking to Aaron, he told me that he has officially retired from baba racing. This is because of his complaining when he losses all the time. The is very sad and the NBRA will never be the same without him. In his final cup race he ended on a sour note, he d.n.fed after being flagged out. His final X Energy Cup record will be: 9 wins, many poles, one Bop World 600 and Champions 400 each, and his best points finish was second (2008). Thank you Aaron for all that you've done for this sport and hope you like it better as an official. Wow i think tears are coming to my eyes thinking that Aaron is done racing. :(
But as the title of this post states another career will begin in this weekend's Green Grass 400! That's right #9 Beau Brazfield will make his first ever NBRA start in the 400. Beau will be racing for JVJ Racing and will be taking Aaron's old place. I spoke with my new teammate yesterday and he said that he doesn't plan on winning the race or even performing well, but getting experience for the races to come. I hope beau will do well this weekend and the rest of this year, plus Caleb Garrett may make his debut soon I'm hearing. So make sure to come to the Green Grass 400 on Saturday at 11:30 to see Beau's debut and the third X Energy Cup race of the 2010 season.
Well thanks for reading, and i know that it's very sad that Aaron is done but new careers are starting and baa racing is having a new generation of racers. As always post your comments and i'll see you next week.

The Shootout, The Rookies, and This Weekend
Well here i am again, sorry i didn't post last week, and because of that today's post will be three in one (as you can tell by the title).
Anyways, the X Energy Shootout was held on Saturday night in case you didn't get the memo. And the race was boring (in case you didn't get that memo too) and i won and led every lap! OK got that cleared lol.
OK now about the rookies, for this 2010 season which officially starts with Saturday's Backyard 300 Bop World Series Race, we have ten licensed racers. And out of those ten 6 are rookies! And here they are:
#5 Caleb Garrett (TBA)
#7 Brandon Lopez (TBA)
#9 Beau Brazfields (JVJ Racing/BWS)
#12 Josh Triebel (TBA)
#13 Scott Oster (Wrigley Racing/TBA)
#56 Issiah Jarmillio (TBA)
Well as you can see only two are even on a team. And i'm pretty sure that the other four won't even make a race. Anyways to make a prediction for the Frank's Beef Franks Rookie of the Year: it will go to Scott (aka my dad). He's been racing for years and will try to run a few races this year. And he has been improving much. But will either rookie win a race? Well not to be mean or anything but i highly doubt that either will take the checkers in '10.
OK for the final part! Well I'm incredibly stoked for this weekend. First tomorrow are the qualifying duels (Which won't be rained out!) The duels will determine the feidl for Sunday's "500" because qualifying was rained out last Sunday. Then on saturday is the first ever Bop World Series race which i'm stoked for. And then Sunday: The 2010 Backyard 500! We've been waiting a year for our "super bowl", and it's finally here. But there's a 60% chance of rain, which may ruin the "500", so be sure to pray for that.
Well that's it next week will be part 5 of my series on the "500" (if it doesn't get rained out). So see you next week.

The "500" Part IV The 2009 Backyard 500
Well here I am again (on a train) with my fourth of five posts about the Backyard 500. Today's is about the 2009 500 which luckily I know a lot more about than the other ones.
OK first of all Aaron started the race on fire for Speedweeks '09 he won the X Energy Shootout the weekend before, and then started on the pole for the "500". The qualifying duels to set the starting positions for the race were rained out as the year before.
So on Sunday, March, 13, 2009 at 1 pm mountain time the 2009 Backyard 500 was under way. Aaron led the first four laps, but then on lap four me and Aaron crashed in a battle for the lead. And from then on it was a wreck fest.
Do to all the wrecks Savannah led the most laps of the race ("cause she always avoids them). But anyways to the point with three laps to go Aaron had a big lead over me but going to turn around he didn't turn all the way around. Aaron after he revived his black flag got of his ball and quit and started crying, and left the track. I led the final three laps, and won the first part of my triple three-peat that year. Once again the "500" was super exciting and amazing.
Anyways sorry i was so short in the post today (computer was dying) but hope it was good. Next week is the final part of this series, and until then have a good week. And hey the X Energy Shootout is next Saturady!

The "500" Part, III: The 2008 Backyard 500
Well here I am again this week with my third post about the Backyard 500. Today's is about the 2008 Backyard 500, which as the last post my knowledge is pretty limited about this. I mean it was only two years ago, but I don't have that great of a memory I guess.
The few things a remember about this race were: wrecks, tears, and wind. The first part, well and can't remember any wrecks in particular, but I know for sure there were a lot, as there are every year. I'm positive about this because the "500" has the most wrecks of any race of the year. I can't even remember if the race ended in a green-white-checkered but it was a pretty crazy race.
Another thing about this race that I remember, was that following the race (which I won) Aaron was in tears. But I'm not going to be the one to make fun of him, because I've never felt the feeling of losing that race. I seriously can't think of how awful it must feel to almost win the Super Bowl of Baba Racing, and yet end up defeated. I mean just typing this is making me feel pity for my little brother and making me sad. I also believe that there was some controversy, but I'm not that sure.
Then the next factor was the wind. I remember it was one of the first times I went to Velocity. And after church we had breakfast, while waiting for a seat we had to wait outside and the wind was awful. The race was then delayed about half an hour because Baba Racing Stadium Abq is near a huge sandy plain, and sand was blowing everywhere. I'm not sure if the wind played a factor in the race, but it for sure it was crazy.
Well hope you guys enjoyed this post, anyways next week I'll post about the 2009 "500". Wow! Preseason Thunder2010 starts tomorrow. You can also come by to 'NBRA Fridays' pilot episode at the Red X Store tomorrow night at 6:30. So the season is just technically a day away I'm stoked! But until next time.

The "500". Part II The 2007 Backyard 500
Well here is my next post about the Backyard 500, for this one I'm going to try to explain in detail what I remember about the 2007 Backyard 500.
Well let's see I remember one majorly important thing, it was the first multiple lap points race on earth! Of course this made it exciting, also the race was in October instead of March. That 2007 season only had three points races, but this is the one most remembered. Alright first of all I can't even remember who won the pole for the race, I think it may have been me but I'm on sure. Also the week before that was the inaugural X Energy Shootout (then Pepsi Shootout) which I won. Anyways first of all Aaron had planned to race in the race but was then not allowed to because of asthma. Which limited the race to three racers, which actually there has been three racers in every "500". O.k so I seriously can't remember the first 19 laps of the race at all (the race was only 20 laps back then). But the part that sticks out was the final lap.
So Savannah had a pretty good lead on me coming to the checkered flag but then we made contact and Savannah wrecked, I took the checkers and won my first of three and counting ;) Backyard 500s. But then I was booed I continued to celebrate despite the angry crowd and also I kissed the bricks. Then when I went to victory lane, Aaron came from the crowd and took the trophy and gave it to Savannah, even though he had absolutely no right to even touch the trophy. Me and Savannah worked it out and I was credited the win. I thought and have thought for years that it was completely an accident, but now I realize I intentionally wrecked Savannah. Wow I was a jerk back then. I'm glad I finally learned.
